Al Dente

CASE STUDY

Davide & Andrea | Al Dente

TANGERINE BRANDING PACKAGE

The project

Al Dente is an Italian restaurant in Melbourne that started life as an at-home dine-in service which then expanded into a bricks and mortar fine dining experience.

Al Dente’s stylist, Eleisha Gray came to me with an idea for a logo; a simplistic shape and form with an earthy colour palette to complement the restaurant interior styling.

Design ideas

I developed Eleisha’s idea with Operations and Venue Manager Michelle by using bold shapes to create a unique typography and consulted with Eleisha, to ensure the colour palette aligned with the restaurant’s interior design.

The difference is in the detail

When developing their logo, I considered its usage and adapted it across both arms of their business to be used in packaging, merchandise and signage for their restaurant and home dining service.

The outcome

After collaborating with Al Dente on their logo, we continued to work together to take these primary design elements into their packaging, merchandise and signage for a cohesive look across all of their marketing touch points.

With this branding experience, Al Dente received their logo, brand elements and colour palette along with a brand guideline document to ensure consistency when using their branding across all of their marketing material.

Al Dente say

Love these mock ups! We're really big fans of the pasta packaging especially. I love the uniform look of both the sauces and pasta. Really great.’
